Tribe will play 34-game Cactus League schedule, 16 as home team, before 2 exhibitions vs. Arizona

November 18th, 2016

The Indians will go to work early toward defending their American League pennant, opening their Spring Training schedule on Feb. 25 against the Reds at their shared complex in Goodyear, Ariz.
Indians pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp on Feb. 12, with the full squad reporting on Feb. 16. A week and a half later, they'll open a 34-game Cactus League schedule that includes 16 home games, all but one of them 1:05 p.m. MST starts. The Tribe will wrap up its preseason with 6:40 p.m. MST exhibitions on March 30 and 31 at Chase Field against the D-backs.
Six of the Indians' first 10 games will be in Goodyear: the opener vs. the Reds, against the Rangers on Feb. 27, the Mariners on March 1, the Rockies on March 3, the Padres on March 5, the Brewers on March 6.
The Indians will host the defending NL West champion Dodgers on March 20 and the defending World Series champion Cubs on March 27 -- that one is a 6:05 p.m. MT start -- along the home stretch of the Cactus League schedule.
Season tickets for the Indians' spring slate go on sale on Monday. Mini ticket plans, allowing fans to pick any three games from both the Indians' and Reds' home schedules at Goodyear, go on sale Nov. 28 at noon ET.
New fan experience packages for Spring Training will offer fans the chance to take part in 90-minute postgame workout sessions on the field March 11 and 25, including shagging fly balls, fielding grounders and taking swings in the indoor batting cages. Another package features a postgame meet-and-greet with 2-3 players and an Indians broadcaster March 5 and 19. In addition, fans can watch pregame batting practice on one of the practice fields March 17.
