Spring Training will finally hit full stride today, as all 30 Major League teams will be in action for the first time in 2016.
The full slate of games feature a little bit of everything, ranging from aces taking the mound to players making team debuts to rivalries renewed to a Hall of Fame hockey broadcaster trying his hand at calling America's pastime. Five of today's games will be available for streaming live on MLB.TV, including one in prime time.
Here are a few things to watch for throughout the day (all times in ET):

Fresh off a 301-strikeout campaign last season, Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw will take the mound in the club's Cactus League opener against the White Sox. Kershaw ultimately finished third in the 2015 National League Cy Young Award race, but has still earned the honor three times in the last five years -- and finished in the top three in each of the other two seasons.
The White Sox, meanwhile, will counter with fellow southpaw John Danks, who is hoping some adjustments in his approach will lead to improved numbers on the mound. The 30-year-old lefty is just 33-56 with a 4.71 ERA since the start of the '11 season, after going 40-31 with a 3.61 ERA from '08-10.

Newcomer Doug Fister will be on the mound today for the Astros, as Houston begins its quest for a second straight postseason appearance. The upstart Astros are coming off a surprise postseason run a season ago that ultimately ended with an American League Division Series loss to the Royals.
"I want to get a good look at him," Astros manager A.J. Hinch said of Fister, who signed a one-year deal in January. "Also, his readiness, and I want to get him off the mound early so that we can get to know him a little bit better."
As for the Phillies, who will also be sending a split squad to face the Yankees, they will call on their top pitching prospect, Jake Thompson, to lead them against the Astros. Thompson was one of the key pieces acquired in the deal that sent Cole Hamels to the Rangers at last year's Trade Deadline.

Though Rick Porcello's debut season with the Red Sox didn't go quite as planned, the veteran righty will again be a key part of a revamped Boston rotation in 2016. Porcello, who went 9-15 with a 4.92 ERA last year, will hope to rediscover his form when he takes the hill today for his first Grapefruit League start as the Red Sox take on the Twins in prime time.
Minnesota will counter with 25-year-old Tyler Duffey, who went 5-1 with a 3.10 ERA over 10 starts after making his big league debut on Aug. 5. He'll be followed on the mound by veteran righty Ricky Nolasco, who is locked into a battle for the final spot in the starting rotation.

Today's game between the Mets and Nationals has a fair share of intriguing storylines -- well, as far as Spring Training games go anyway. For starters, it will mark the first time that the Mets take the field for game action since winning the NL pennant a season ago. That, of course, came after their surprising rally to first beat out the rival Nationals for the NL East title.
Aside from the rivalry aspect, Daniel Murphy is expected to make his Nationals debut against the same team with which he spent the first seven years of his career. As if that wasn't enough, Nationals ace Max Scherzer is expected to pitch two innings in his first game action since Oct. 3, when he capped off the 2015 season by throwing a no-hitter -- his second of the season -- against these same Mets.

Indians right-hander Danny Salazar will be looking to build off his breakout '15 season when he takes the hill today against the in-state rival Reds. The 26-year-old went 14-10 with a 3.45 ERA, while racking up 195 strikeouts over 185 innings.
On the other side, 25-year-old Anthony DeSclafani will get the start for the Reds as he looks to begin making his case for being the club's Opening Day starter.

Garrett Richards will make his spring debut opposite southpaw Eric Surkamp and the division rival A's, as he looks to further cement his status as the Angels' staff ace. Richards is a combined 28-16 with a 3.18 ERA over the past two years and could be in line to become the Angels' first Opening Day starter not named Jered Weaver since 2009.

Hall of Fame hockey broadcaster Mike "Doc" Emrick will stop by the Pirates' broadcast booth today to call part of the club's game against the Blue Jays, which will be available in a free broadcast on MLB.com. A lifelong Pirates fan, Emrick said his only previous experience calling a baseball game was a forgettable one as a graduate student at Miami (Ohio) University.
