Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced the following roster moves prior to tonight's (7:10 pm PT) game vs. the New York Yankees:
Walker (No. 44) will be the starting pitcher for tonight's (7:10 pm PT) game vs. the New York Yankees.
Walker, 24, was 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA (6 ER, 15.0 IP) with 6 strikeouts in 3 starts with AAA Tacoma, including 1 rehab start on Aug. 1. Walker made 2 starts with the Rainiers after being optioned to Tacoma on Aug. 8. In his last start, Aug. 18 at Nashville, Walker earned the win after tossing 6.1 scoreless innings while allowing just 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 2. Walker is 4-7 with a 4.10 ERA (41 ER, 90.0 IP) with 80 strikeouts and 20 walks in 17 starts with Seattle this season. In parts of four Major League seasons with the Mariners, Walker is 18-18 with a 4.14 ERA (144 ER, 312.2 IP) in 57 career appearances (54 starts).

Among Pacific Coast League leaders at the time of his recall, Martin ranked T8th in strikeouts (99) and T11th in wins (9). Martin earned the win in his Mariners debut, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning while allowing 1 hit on June 2 at San Diego. Seattle originally claimed Martin off waivers from Oakland on Oct. 29, 2015.
