Marlins announce 2017 home schedule

The Miami Marlins today announced their home schedule for the 2017 season.

The Miami Marlins today announced their home schedule for the 2017 season. The Marlins home opener will come on April 11 vs. the Atlanta Braves, following a six-game road trip, April 3-9, to open the season. Miami's first homestand of 2017 will run April 11-16, with the Braves (April 11-13) and New York Mets (April 14-16) coming to Marlins Park.
Next season, the Marlins will face off against the American League West during Interleague Play, with the Houston Astros (May 15-17), Los Angeles Angels (May 26-28), who are the only team that hasn't played at Marlins Park, and Oakland A's (June 13-14) playing in Miami. Miami will also renew the Citrus Series against the Tampa Bay Rays from May 1-2.
The 2017 regular season will conclude with a four-game series against the Braves (Sept. 28-Oct. 1). Four of the Marlins five final home series will come against NL East division foes, as the Phillies (Sept. 1-3), Nationals (Sept. 4-6) and Mets (Sept. 18-20) will play in Miami in September.
In addition to a full slate of home games against National League opponents, Miami will also host Major League Baseball's 2017 All-Star Week. Included in All-Star Week are the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game and the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game on July 9, the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on July 10 and the All-Star Game presented by MasterCard on July 11.
