MIAMI -- Reaching the second deck in right field at Marlins Park is not uncommon for Justin Bour. The Marlins' first baseman on Saturday homered for the third straight game, but this time he also accomplished a first.
When Bour launched a solo shot off Eric O'Flaherty to lead off the seventh inning in Miami's 3-1 loss to the Braves, it was his first career home run off a left-hander.
"It's good to see J.B. swing the bat against lefties," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said. "Actually, his numbers have been higher [against lefties]. Some of his at-bats have been good against lefties, some have not."
Bour's no-doubter pulled the Marlins to within 2-1. Statcast™ projected the towering shot at 388 feet, with a launch angle of 32 degrees and an exit velocity of 97.8 mph.
In some ways, the home run mirrored his shot on Friday, which was something to behold because it literally was a moonshot. Statcast™ had that rocket at 384 feet, with a launch angle of 39 degrees. The ball, at its maximum height, was 149 feet.

"Credit to him," Braves catcher Tyler Flowers said. "We've made a couple mistakes and he hasn't missed them."
The left-handed-hitting Bour is getting a chance this year against southpaws. His 45 other big league homers have come off righties.
Bour got off to a slow start, but he is now at .248/.346/.462 with seven home runs and 23 RBIs.
Entering the night, Bour had gone 5-for-24 (.250) with four RBIs against left-handers, while hitting .242 with six homers and 18 RBIs against righties.
"He's been patient until the right time, and he's jumping on the mistakes," Flowers said. "He hasn't missed one in a couple of days."
