LOS ANGELES -- Marlins No. 2 prospect Monte Harrison underwent surgery on his right wrist during the All-Star break, the club announced on Friday. The Triple-A New Orleans outfielder is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

The 23-year-old is batting .284/.372/.479 with nine home runs for the Baby Cakes. He's ranked by MLB Pipeline as the No. 85 prospect in baseball.

Harrison injured his wrist on June 26 making a diving catch. He was placed on the 7-day injured list on July 6, retroactive to July 3. The injury prevented him from appearing in the 2019 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, though he was selected to be part of the National League squad.

Harrison was acquired by the Marlins from the Brewers in 2018 as part of the Christian Yelich trade, along with Lewis Brinson, Isan Diaz (Marlins' No. 6 prospect) and Jordan Yamamoto (Marlins' No. 18 prospect).
