Tebow goes oppo for third homer of season

Tim Tebow hit his third home run of the 2017 Minor League season, a line-drive solo shot to left-center field Sunday.
Tebow's homer came in the fifth inning of Class A Columbia's game against the West Virginia Power, the Pirates' Class A affiliate, putting the Fireflies on the board.

The former NFL quarterback had been scuffling at the plate over the past week, but snapped a five-game hitless streak Saturday then added the opposite-field homer Sunday.
Entering play Sunday, Tebow was batting .220/.313/.331 in 118 at-bats over 34 games for Columbia in his first full season in the Mets' organization.
