The 31-year-old outfielder has been on the disabled list since April 28 with a strained left hamstring, but he ran full speed Wednesday with no discomfort in his legs, according to a report from the New York Post citing Mets assistant general manager John Ricco.

It remains to be seen how much playing time Cespedes will get in the outfield upon his return to the big league club. New York will play National League teams for the remainder of June. Cespedes was batting .270/.373/.619 with six home runs in 75 plate appearances before landing on the disabled list.
