Texas Rangers urge fans to #ElectElvis

The World Famous Wheelie-ing Elvi join other local luminaries in adding support.

The World Famous Wheelie-ing Elvi Daredevil Mini-Motorcycle Riders have appeared at Globe Life Park in Arlington for several of the club's Elvis Nights over the years.
Today, the group of Elvis look-a-likes made a special trip to the park to promote Elvis Andrus' candidacy for the 32nd and final spot on the 2017 American League team. The Wheelie-ing Elvi, who participated in today's City of Arlington 4th of July parade, produced a special video which the Rangers will be using in social media and other platforms.
In addition, Rangers' social messaging to #ElectElvis has been retweeted over the last 24 hours by theGame of Thrones official account, the FC Dallas official account as well as FC Dallas players Kellyn Acosta and Matt Hedges, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead, Rangers Hall of Famers Rusty Greer and Michael Young, The Bachelor's Chris Harrison, former pro soccer player & fellow Venezuelan Juan Pablo, and several members of the band Mercy Me as well as numerous Rangers' teammates.   
On-line fan balloting via the 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote can be done on texasrangers.com, mlb.com, and mobile devices until Thursday, July 6, at 3:00 p.m. CDT.
Fans can vote for Andrus via text message up to 35 times per phone until the 3:00 p.m. (CDT) deadline on July 6. To vote for Andrus, text A1 to 89269.  Message and data rates may apply. 
The Rangers also have a ticket special for the Sunday, July 9 game with the Los Angeles Angels as well as a sweepstakes scheduled as part of the club's Final Vote campaign for Andrus. Full details can be found at texasrangers.com/vote. The Rangers are partnering with the Washington Nationals and N.L. Final Vote candidate Anthony Rendon (#VoteRendon and Text to N3) in the 2017 MLB All-Star Gate Final Vote effort.
The club will also stage several more Power Hours over the next two days and encourage all fans to vote for Andrus during that time. Exact hours can be found at @Rangers and on the club's other social platforms.
For the sixth consecutive year, the last day of the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote also will include social balloting, as Twitter support from the 10 candidates' fans over the last six hours of balloting will count toward their final vote totals. From 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (CDT) on Thursday, July 6th, any tweet that includes the #ElectElvis hashtag will be tabulated as part of Andrus' official vote total used to determine the American League winner.
Andrus is batting .301 with 11 homers and 50 RBI in 81 games in 2017. He is among the A.L. leaders in stolen bases (2nd, 20), multi-hit games (3rd, 30), hits (T3rd, 99), and average (16th). Andrus has been selected as a reserve on A.L. All-Star teams in 2010 and 2012.
