O's hosting Jays next year on Opening Day

Cubs, Bucs, Cards coming to Camden Yards next season

September 14th, 2016

In the 25th anniversary season of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Orioles will open their 2017 slate at home. The club will host the Blue Jays on April 3 in their season opener.
After the Orioles had four rainouts before the All-Star break this season, two of which came at home, their 2017 schedule offers plenty of off-days for potential makeup games in April. The season-opening two-game series is played in a four-day span, and Baltimore has five scheduled off-days within the first month.
Baltimore begins the season with 24 of its first 27 games against American League East foes, with a trip to Cincinnati as the only reprieve from division action. The O's will play the rest of the National League Central over the course of 2017 as well, making trips to Milwaukee (July 3-5) and Pittsburgh (Sept. 26-27).
Orioles' 2017 regular-season schedule
The Cubs will travel to Camden Yards for the first time since 2003 for a three-game series right after the All-Star break (July 14-16). The O's will also host Pittsburgh (June 6-7) and St. Louis (June 16-18).
The Orioles' other Interleague matchup will continue the Beltways Series with the Nationals as the Orioles battle Washington in a four-game home-and-home series from May 8-11. The teams, separated by about 40 miles, have played every season since 2006.
The Orioles will enjoy a lighter travel schedule in 2017, making just one West Coast trip after trekking across the country on three separate trips this year. They'll play at the Angels, A's and Mariners from Aug. 7-16.
But the O's will spend most of their final month away from Camden Yards, playing 15 of their final 22 games on the road -- most of which will be division games. They finish the season with a three-game series at Tropicana Field against the Rays (Sept. 29 to Oct. 1).
Throughout the course of the season, Baltimore will play three home games on a holiday. The Orioles are scheduled to host the Yankees on Memorial Day (May 29) and Labor Day (Sept. 4) and the Cardinals on Father's Day (June 18).
