The Orioles claimed right-hander David Hale off waivers from the Rockies on Monday and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk.
Hale, 28, appeared in two games for the Rockies this season. He also made two starts at Triple-A, posting a 1.50 ERA in six innings.
Hale has a 4.48 ERA in 66 games (20 starts) in parts of four Major League seasons with the Braves and Rockies. He's posted a 3.93 career Minor League ERA in 126 games (82 starts).
Baltimore's 40-man roster is now full.
