Classic participants tune up as O's top Phils
SARASOTA, Fla. -- Mike Wright, who is competing for one of the final spots in the Orioles' bullpen, started and pitched three innings, allowing a run on two hits in the Orioles' 3-2 win over the Phillies on Sunday.
After Cameron Rupp's first home run of the spring in the sixth gave the Phillies a 2-1 lead, the Orioles scored two runs in the seventh off Elniery Garcia on Paul Janish's sacrifice fly and Logan Schafer's infield forceout.
Philadelphia right-hander Nick Pivetta, who is leaving to pitch for Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic, started and allowed only two hits over three scoreless innings while striking out three.

Welington Castillo played his last game before joining up with the Dominican Republic for the Classic, and he contributed an RBI double in the fourth off Alec Asher.
Manny Machado, who is leaving to play shortstop for the DR, was hitless in three at-bats, but made a brilliant throw in the field. Adam Jones, who leaves on Monday to play for Team USA, was also 0-for-3.

The Phillies took a 1-0 lead in the third on Chris Coghlan's RBI single. Wright hit Aaron Altherr with a pitch to lead off the inning, and Cesar Hernandez's grounder hit second base, putting Altherr on third, and he scored on Coghlan's hit.

<p.>"I really missed bad on one pitch, and that was the pitch I gave up the run on. Other than that, I feel like I executed pretty well," Wright said. </p.>
Phillies Up Next: After their first off-day of the spring, the Phillies will resume Grapefruit League play when they travel to Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland to face the Tigers on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET. Right-hander Aaron Nola, whose comeback from a right elbow strain that caused him to miss the final two months last season is an important story line, will make his second start of the spring. Also listed on the travel roster: Ben Lively, Jeanmar Gomez, Cesar Ramos, Pedro Beato and Colton Murray.
Orioles Up Next: Right-hander Dylan Bundy takes the mound for the Orioles as they travel to Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium to face the Tigers on Monday at 1:05 p.m. ET. Bundy, who allowed two runs on two hits over two innings in his first start against Boston, is expected to be one of the Orioles' top three starters.
