Padres announce non-roster invites to Major League Spring Training
The San Diego Padres announced they have extended Major League Spring Training invitations to 19 players. Among those 19 players are 12 minor league free agents whom the Padres have signed to 2016 contracts that will be new to the organization this season, including right-handed pitchers Martires Arias, Luis Diaz, Jose Dominguez, Johnny Hellweg, Philip Humber and Carlos Pimentel, catcher Erik Kratz, infielders Nick Noonan, Adam Rosales, Ryan Schimpf and Jemile Weeks and outfielder Skip Schumaker.

The list of non-roster invitees includes eight right-handed pitchers, one left-hander, three catchers, five infielders and two outfielders. Of the invitees, 12 of the 19 have Major League experience. Additionally, three of the 19 were originally drafted by the Padres. Below is a complete and current list of all non-roster players who will attend 2016 Major League Spring Training:
