Padres ready to give back during holiday caravan

December 6th, 2016

Count the Padres among those in the giving spirit this holiday season.
San Diego's annual holiday caravan is slated to begin Wednesday, kicking off with the team's 10 Days of Giving initiative. Through Dec. 16, the Padres will participate in daily charity events throughout San Diego and the Baja region.
The caravan gets underway Wednesday with the Military Families Holiday Toy Program, where members of the Padres' organization will help military parents pick out gifts for their kids.
On Saturday, the Friars will cross the border to attend the Center for Infant Rehabilitation Telethon. A handful of players, as well as the team's Spanish broadcasters, will distribute gifts to the kids at the center.

Also among the caravan's 19 stops are trips to the Wounded Warrior Holiday Luncheon and the Rock Church's Toys for Joy program.
Over the course of the 10 days, various players, coaches, alumni, broadcasters, executives and members of the Pad Squad will participate in the 19 events.
