Hitter to watch: Raul Mondesi (Royals' No. 1), Omaha vs. Las Vegas (8:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)

Mondesi fell a single short of the cycle on Tuesday afternoon, finishing 3-for-5 with three RBIs for Triple-A Omaha. The No. 32 overall prospect's home run was his first in nine games since being promoted from Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he batted .259/.331/.448 over 29 games while working around a 50-game suspension for a performance-enhancing substance.

Thompson, No. 47 on the Top 100, arguably has been the most effective hurler in the Minors since the calendar flipped to June, winning five of his past eight starts while posting a stellar 0.64 ERA over 56 1/3 innings in that span.
