Meadows among Bucs headed to Fall League

Seven Pirates prospects to play for Surprise Saguaros

CHICAGO -- The Arizona Fall League rosters were unveiled on Wednesday. The Pirates will send seven prospects to play for the Surprise Saguaros when the season begins Oct. 11.
Pittsburgh's most notable selection is outfielder Austin Meadows, the club's No. 2 prospect and baseball's ninth-best overall, according to MLBPipeline.com.
The Pirates are also sending right-hander Trevor Williams, their No. 27 prospect, and reliever Dovydas Neverauskas, their No. 23 prospect who was recently suspended for the rest of the season. Like Meadows, both pitchers are currently with Triple-A Indianapolis.

Rounding out the Pirates' list of Fall League attendees are Double-A Altoona right-hander Montana DuRapau, Triple-A right-hander Edgar Santana, Double-A catcher Jin-De Jhang and Double-A infielder Eric Wood.
Altoona hitting coach Kevin Riggs will serve in the same role for the Saguaros, whose roster also includes prospects from the Rangers, Red Sox, Royals and Twins.
