The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled outfielder Austin Meadows from Triple-A Indianapolis and have placed outfielder Starling Marte on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to May 16) with a right oblique strain.
 
The 23-year-old Meadows hit .294 (37-for-126) with 10 doubles, one home run, 15 RBI, 20 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 32 games with Indianapolis this season. He hit safely in each of his last seven games with the Indians, going 13-for-33 (.394) with four doubles and seven RBI.
