The Bucs signed each of their Day 2 college picks except for third-round third baseman Dylan Busby, who is still playing for Florida State University in the College World Series. Tuesday's signings included catcher Jason Delay (fourth round), catcher Deon Stafford (fifth), outfielder Jared Oliva (seventh), left-hander Blake Weiman (eighth), outfielder Bligh Madris (ninth) and right-hander Beau Sulser (10th).

The Bucs also signed 13th-round infielder Tristan Gray, 15th-round right-hander Gavin Wallace and 24th-round infielder Nick Valaika. They have now signed 12 of their 42 Draft picks.

Delay and Valaika will begin their professional careers with the Rookie-level Bristol Pirates in the Appalachian League. The rest of Tuesday's signees were assigned to short-season Class A West Virginia in the New York-Penn League. Baz was previously assigned to the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Pirates in Bradenton, Fla.

According to Callis, Oliva signed for $200,000, the slot value of the 208th overall pick. Pittsburgh previously signed Baz, the No. 12 overall pick, for an above-slot $4.1 million bonus.

Aside from Busby, the Pirates' top unsigned pick was high school right-hander Steven Jennings (42nd overall).

The Pirates also have not signed sixth-round right-hander Cody Bolton, another prep pick, but according to The Record newspaper in Stockton, Calif., the University of Michigan commit has agreed to terms with Pittsburgh.
