The Mets' top two prospects each had a pair of hits in their Triple-A debuts on Thursday. Rosario, baseball's No. 4 overall prospect, went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and scored the 51s' lone run in an 8-1 loss to El Paso. The 21-year-old, signed by the Mets in 2012, hit .267 in 30 Spring Training at-bats after hitting .324 across two levels in the Minors in 2016.

Smith also went 2-for-4 and had one of two Las Vegas extra-base hits -- a double. The No. 61 overall prospect was impressive at Double-A Binghamton last season, hitting .302 with 14 homers and 91 RBIs. Smith notched four hits in 36 Spring Training at-bats.
