Rain delays Indians-Twins nightcap in 5th
June 18th, 2017
MINNEAPOLIS -- The nightcap of a doubleheader Saturday between the Twins and Indians was delayed by rain. After winning the first two games of the series, Cleveland was leading in the top of the fifth inning, 2-1, at Target Field.
The game was expected to resume at 9:50 CT (10:50 ET).
The Twins jumped out to a 1-0 advantage in the third inning after a two-out double by Joe Mauer. The Tribe reclaimed the advantage with a pair of solo shots off left-hander Adalberto Mejia in the fourth, as both Austin Jackson and Lonnie Chisenhall went deep.
A rainout on April 19 led to Saturday's twin bill.
