ANAHEIM -- Rangers owner Ray Davis will be in Washington, D.C., on Thursday night to receive the Eisenhower Award at the Business Executives for National Security dinner.
The Eisenhower Award annually recognizes public servants and private citizens who have made considerable contributions toward President Dwight Eisenhower's holistic definition of national security, described as "... the total product of our economic, intellectual, moral and military strength."
Davis is being honored for his support of the Military Wellness Initiative, which he began with Congressman Mac Thornberry in March 2016. Davis is working to create and test new holistic and persistent approaches to military wellness. The program aims to empower service members and put them at the center of a comprehensive health network.
Rangers executives Neil Leibman, John Blake, Jon Daniels, Rob Matwick and Kellie Fischer are expected to attend as well.
