Rangers to sponsor Brandon Jones in O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 on April 8

The Texas Rangers announced today that the club has entered into a partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) to sponsor Brandon Jones' car in the upcoming NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300, on Friday night, April 8.

The Texas Rangers announced today that the club has entered into a partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) to sponsor Brandon Jones' car in the upcoming NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300, on Friday night, April 8.
 
Jones' No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro will be wrapped in Texas Rangers blue and red with baseballs on the doors and the team's logo on the hood. In addition, Jones' driver suit for the April 8 race will feature Rangers marks and be modeled after the team's blue jersey top with gray pants and blue and red piping. Graphic renderings of the both the car and driver suit are attached.
 
The 19-year-old Jones is in his first full season as a driver for Richard Childress Racing. With five races complete in the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series, Jones ranks fourth in championship driver point standings and has accrued three top-10 finishes. The native of Atlanta, Georgia had a successful five-race tenure in the XFINITY Series with RCR in 2015. Overall, he made 34 starts in 2015 across four different racing divisions: XFINITY Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, and the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.
 
Jones is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Rangers game with the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Park in Arlington on Wednesday, April 6, a 1:05 p.m. start.
