Rays hope FOX, Spectrum can reach deal

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays tweeted the following statement regarding the situation between FOX Sports and Spectrum trying to reach an agreement:

"We are aware that Spectrum [formerly known as Brighthouse] and FOX Sports are in discussions to continue their agreement to broadcast Rays Baseball. We have urged both parties to reach a speedy conclusion to these discussions so that fans subscribing to Spectrum can continue to enjoy Rays baseball games and other Rays programming."

If a deal is not reached between FOX and Spectrum by 11:59 p.m. PT on Friday night (2:59 a.m. ET on Saturday), Spectrum will no longer be carrying Rays baseball games.
