Ramos' bunt single completes cycle for PawSox
Red Sox's No. 22 prospect follows up walk-off homer performance with four-hit game
Henry Ramos hit a two-run walk-off home run on Sunday night to lead Triple-A Pawtucket past Columbus, 5-4, in a 16-inning game. But what he did at the plate on Monday was even more remarkable.
The Red Sox's No. 22 prospect hit for the cycle in Pawtucket's 7-4 win over Charlotte, becoming the first PawSox player to accomplish the feat since Michael Coleman on June 4, 1999. He finished the game 4-for-5, with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Ramos got the home run out of the way early, hitting a solo shot to left-center field with two outs in the first inning. He led off the fourth inning with a double to left field, and two frames later, he delivered a two-run triple to right field.

Needing only a single over the game's final four frames to complete his cycle, Ramos came up empty in his fourth at-bat as he struck out on a foul tip in the seventh inning. But the 24-year-old outfielder took a more strategic approach to securing the feat in his final trip to the plate by laying down a bunt on the first pitch he saw. He executed the plan perfectly, pushing the ball toward the third baseman for an infield hit.

With his four-hit game on Monday, Ramos improved his average and OPS to .309 and .863, respectively, through 26 games for Pawtucket, during which he also has tallied 12 extra-base hits and 22 RBIs. He was promoted to the Minors' highest level after a strong showing at Double-A Portland, where he posted a .281/.333/.406 batting line in 42 games.
