After helping propel the American League-leading Rangers to a 5-1 record last week, Rougned Odor was named the AL Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Odor batted .444 and mashed five home runs in his six games during the week, driving in 15 runs. The 22-year-old second baseman also notched four multihit games, including three three-hit games.

Last Tuesday, with Texas trailing Seattle by a run in the bottom of the ninth inning, Odor hit a walk-off two-run homer. The Rangers went on to sweep the Mariners, who are now 11 1/2 games out and third in the AL West, and take two of three games from the Astros, who are 8 1/2 games back in second.
This is the second career AL Player of the Week Award for Odor, who also won it for the week of July 26 in 2015.
