PHILADELPHIA -- Former Phillies ace Roy Halladay will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame this summer.
Halladay pitched for the Phillies from 2010-13, winning the '10 National League Cy Young Award. He also threw a perfect game against the Marlins in '10 and a no-hitter in Game 1 of that year's NL Division Series. Of course, Halladay is being honored for his Blue Jays career, which spanned from 1995-2005.
From 2001-09, Halladay posted 48.3 Wins Above Replacement. It was the best mark in baseball during that span, according to FanGraphs. He made six American League All-Star teams and won the '03 AL Cy Young Award in that stretch.
Former Expos star Vladimir Guerrero also will be inducted at the June 24 ceremony in St. Marys, Ontario.
"Toronto has been my home away from home throughout my career and even to this day," Halladay said in a statement.
Halladay isn't the only person with Phillies ties who will be inducted into a Hall of Fame this summer. Phils president Andy MacPhail will be inducted into the Twins' Hall of Fame in August. MacPhail was the third general manager in Twins history. He spent 10 seasons in the role, from 1985-94. He helped Minnesota win the '87 and '91 World Series championships.
Former Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer will also be inducted in August.
