Royals Charities celebrates record-setting proceeds for Diamond of Dreams

Royals Charities announced today that the annual on-field event, Diamond of Dreams, broke a record for funds raised. These proceeds will benefit local military organizations.

Royals Charities announced today that the annual on-field event, Diamond of Dreams, broke a record for funds raised. These proceeds will benefit local military organizations.
Proceeds from ticket sales, the Teva Silent Auction, a Rolex watch raffle courtesy of TIVOL and an exclusive Tiffany & Co. event raised $400,000 to benefit Royals Charities, the USO of Missouri and Kansas, Folds of Honor and the Kansas City VA Medical Center.
"We are thankful for our sponsors, restaurants, front office associates, LeAnn Rimes and many Royals players, coaches and broadcasters who came together for this this event," said Ben Aken, Vice President of Community Relations. "Thousands of local military families will benefit from their contributions."
More than 1,200 people attended the foundation's signature event Thursday night, which featured a VIP Party and on-field event. Brady Goodman and Taylor McKay, morning show hosts on 99.7 The Point, emceed from the stage in centerfield.
Guests were able to enjoy food from several local restaurants including Aramark, Bristol Seafood Grill, Cupcake A La Mode, Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbeque, Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, JJ's Restaurant, Kansas City Steak Company, La Bodega, Lidia's, McCormick & Schmick's and Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen. Key event sponsors for Diamond of Dreams included Aramark, LMC Truck Parts & Accessories, Price Chopper, Teva, DSS, Inc., Garmin, HB Trucking LLC, Kansas City Steak Company, Sanders Management, Sprint, Sun Life Financial, The University of Kansas Health System and Tiffany & Co.
