Royals Charities Giving Week continues

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- As a part of the second annual Royals Charities Giving Week, Royals Charities and the Royals Alumni Association will visit Northland Early Education Center and FosterAdopt Connect on Thursday, December 8.
At 10 a.m., Royals Charities and the Royals Alumni Association will visit Northland Early Education Center. During their first stop of the day, Royals Charities will present a check for $20,000 to support the expansion of the organization's building and services. The Royals Alumni Foundation will also present a check for $5,000 to help build new classrooms and an outdoors classroom. Royals alumni participating in the event will include Jaime Bluma, Jim Eisenreich, Jeff Montgomey and Greg Pryor. The presentation will take place at Northland Early Education Center located at 8630 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, Mo.
The second event will take place at 2 p.m. at FosterAdopt Connect located at 18600 E. 37th Terr. St, Independence, Mo. Royals Charities will present a check for $10,000 to support general operating costs. The Royals Alumni Foundation will also present a $5,000 check. While there, Royals Charities and Royals Alumni will deliver a collection of holiday gifts purchased by Royals associates for foster families and children. Royals broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre will join alumni Willie Aikens, Dennis Leonard, Rod Myers and Les Norman for the event.
On Monday, Royals Charities presented a check for $200,000 to the University of Kansas Hospital to support the children and families waiting room in the new Cambridge North building. Yesterday, Royals Charities presented checks for $60,000 and $40,000 to Variety KC and the Police Athletic League, respectively. Variety will use the money to build an inclusive playground at Leawood City Park. The funding for the Police Athletic League will help renovate locker rooms. Royals Charities will conclude Giving Week with two stops on Friday.
