June 14th, 2016

KANSAS CITY -- Royals catcher Salvador Perez still leads all American League players in the voting in the latest 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot update, and Eric Hosmer still leads all first basemen.
But the race for the final outfield spot is getting tight. Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain, vying for his second straight All-Star start, is third with 1,146,885 votes. Cain is behind Mike Trout of the Angels and Jackie Bradley Jr. of the Red Sox.
Cain, third in last year's AL Most Valuable Player Award voting, leads the Orioles' Mark Trumbo by fewer than 50,000 votes.
Perez leads with 2,063,459 votes. Hosmer is in front with 1,614,016 votes.
