The San Francisco Giants announced a partnership with airport restaurateur Tastes on the Fly to create the San Francisco Giants Clubhouse in Terminal 3 at San Francisco International Airport. Construction will commence next spring with the opening scheduled before the end of 2017.

"This is the first time the Giants will create a restaurant experience outside of AT&T Park," said Laurence M. Baer, Giants President and Chief Executive Officer. "Tastes on the Fly is a visionary leader in the industry, and we are excited to work with them to bring the Giants experience to travelers at SFO."

Restaurant plans call for an immersive environment using a wrap-around digital wall that will showcase sports, news, movies and interactive entertainment. Three replica World Series trophies will be housed in a display case at the front of the restaurant along with a rotating exhibit of Giants memorabilia.

The San Francisco Giants were the first team to create unique ballpark menus that featured local favorites like Crazy Crab sandwiches and Gilroy Garlic Fries. The SF Giants Clubhouse will continue that tradition with a menu created by original Google Chef and current personal chef to the Grateful Dead, Charlie Ayers. It will take several twists on ballpark classics while maintaining Tastes on the Fly's commitment to sustainability and healthy eating.

SF Giants Clubhouse will be designed by BCV Architects. Its modern aesthetic will combine the spirit of the Giants' fan base with an elegant urban experience to create a fun, sophisticated space.

"SFO has been a leader in elevating travelers' food and beverage expectations in airports," said Tastes on the Fly CEO, Michael Levine. "We are excited to continue that journey by bringing one of baseball's most iconic franchises to the concourse."

Tastes on the Fly currently operates 21 brands in 4 US airports. In SFO, they operate Napa Farms Market, Yankee Pier, Perrys, Café del Mondo (2 locations) and Lark Creek Grill. In Boston, they operate Berkshire Farms Market, Stephanie's, Jerry Remy's Sports Bar & Grill, DINE Boston, and Boston Beer Works (2 locations). In JFK, they operate Bobby Van's Grill. And in Denver, they operate Modmarket in Terminals C and B, Coor's Silver Bullet Sports Bar, Tapas SkyBar and Happy Cakes/Allegro Café. Their innovative Napa Farms Market in SFO won every major airport concession award including ARN, Moodie International FAB Awards and ACI North America's Greisbach Award for Best New Airport Concept. Tastes on the Fly was named the 2016 ARN "Best Food & Beverage Operator."

One of the oldest teams in Major League Baseball, the 134-year old Giants franchise moved to San Francisco from New York in 1958. After playing a total of 42 years in Seals Stadium and Candlestick Park, the team moved to the privately constructed AT&T Park in 2000. The organization is widely recognized for its innovative business practices and baseball excellence. In 2010, the franchise was named the Sports Organization of the Year by Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal and in 2012 was named Organization of the Year by Baseball America. Since opening its gates, AT&T Park has become internationally-renowned as a premier venue in the world of both sports and entertainment. On the diamond, more than 50 million spectators have witnessed a number of magical moments, including three World Series Championships (2010, 2012 & 2014) and five playoff appearances.
