Longtime TV voice Hutton to return for select games

June 9th, 2018

MIAMI -- The Marlins 25th Anniversary weekend included an unexpected surprise.
Tommy Hutton, a longtime analyst at Fox Sports Florida, announced on air during Saturday's fourth inning that he will return for select pre- and postgame analysis, beginning on Monday during the Giants-Marlins telecast.
Hutton was a popular and passionate analyst with the organization from 1997-2015.
The Marlins are celebrating their 25th anniversary, and on Saturday, former players and coaches took part in a pregame ceremony before Miami faced the Padres. Hutton was the emcee of the pregame ceremony.
In the fourth inning, Hutton was a guest in the booth with play-by-play announcer Paul Severino and analyst Todd Hollandsworth. During that exchange, Hutton announced he would be back. Most of his assignments are expected after the All-Star Game. Hutton could appear in more than 40 games.
For the series with the Giants, Craig Minervini will handle play-by-play for all four games. As part of the FS Florida broadcast schedule, Minervini is slated to handle play-by-play for 10 games (he has already done three). Severino will return on Friday at Baltimore.
