To make room for Heston on the 25-man roster, the Twins have placed left-handed pitcher Hector Santiago on the 10-day disabled list with a left-shoulder strain. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Twins have placed right-handed pitcher Nick Tepesch on release waivers.
