New faces
When the Rockies sent Corey Dickerson to the Rays for Jake McGee in January, the clubs also swapped prospects as part of the trade. Marquez came to Colorado in exchange for third baseman Kevin Padlo.
On the shelf
Three pitchers are on the big league disabled list, most notably former No. 3 overall pick Jon Gray, who'll miss the first week or two of the season with an abdominal strain. A stress fracture in his elbow cost left-hander Tyler Anderson all of 2015, and he'll head to the Minors in the near future once he recovers from an oblique strain. Righty Jairo Diaz will miss the entire season after having Tommy John surgery in March. Colorado is holding lefty Harrison Musgrave back in extended spring camp for a week or so after he had some mild arm soreness during Spring Training.
