Justin De Paula and Justin Kamplain led the way Saturday as Class A Short Season Staten Island used four pitchers to throw a no-hitter in a 2-0 win over Tri-City.
It was the third no-hitter in team history and second in as many years.
Staten Island starter Jhony Brito, making just his third turn this season, began the no-hit effort by tossing a perfect first inning on eight pitches, six for strikes. The 19-year-old right-hander struck out one.

Right-hander Alex Bisacca, 24, followed Brito's lead with a 1-2-3 frame of his own in the second. He also notched a strikeout, as well as a pair of ground-ball outs.
De Paula took over in the third and proceeded to tack on another 4 1/3 hitless frames. The 19-year-old righty was wild but effective, notching six strikeouts and four walks while throwing 41 of his 71 pitches for strikes. He lowered his ERA from 5.25 to 4.45 with the scoreless performance.
Kamplain relieved De Paula with one out and a runner on first base in the seventh inning and promptly recorded two straight swinging strikeouts to complete the frame before retiring the side in order in the eighth.
Back out there for the ninth inning, Kamplain, a 24-year-old lefty, tallied another swinging strikeout before issuing a one-out walk. He would rebound to retire the next two hitters on a forceout at second base and an infield popup to seal Staten Island's combined no-hitter.
Kamplain earned his second save this season by working the game's final 2 2/3 innings. De Paula, meanwhile, picked up the win, giving him a 3-3 record in six outings (five starts).
