The Phillies placed right-hander Zach Eflin on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to March 30) as he continues rehabilitation from surgery on both of his knees. The club announced the move as part of its finalized Opening Day roster.
Eflin, 22, underwent a procedure on his right knee on Aug. 19, 2016, and another on his left on Sept. 30.
Eflin went 3-5 with a 5.54 ERA in 11 starts for the Phillies this past season. He showed flashes of brilliance, throwing two complete games in July.
