2025 Padres Foundation Holiday Giving

Every year, the Padres Foundation collaborates with several community partners in a month-long campaign to help spread the joy of the holidays throughout the San Diego and Baja region. The Foundation targets the region’s underserved communities, aiming to share the holiday spirit with those in need.

With support from SDGE and Bikes 4 Kids, the Padres Foundation surprised 100 second and third graders at Rodriguez Elementary School with new bikes and helmets this holiday season.

With the help of the Padres Foundation and Walmart, 100 fourth and fifth graders from Horton Elementary School went on a fun holiday shopping spree to pick out gifts for their families and loved ones.

Taking the spirit of the season across the border, the Padres Foundation helped sponsor a free baseball and softball clinic for over 100 kids ages 8-12 in Tijuana. On the way home, Pad Squad and Friar stopped by Tijuana Hospital Infantil to spread holiday cheer and give gifts to kids receiving treatment.

In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA, the Padres Foundation teamed up for this annual event to support military families during the holiday season. Adrian and Melany Morejon, Brian Lawrence, Mark Loretta, Mark Grant, Brett Tomko, Jesse Agler, and other volunteers helped families shop for toys and wrap gifts.

The Padres Foundation hosted a Holiday Storytime at the San Diego Central Library, featuring special guest reader Adrian Morejon. Pad Squad and Friar joined in on the fun, helping children and their families with Padres holiday-themed crafts.

The Padres Foundation helped host a free youth baseball clinic for 100 kids participating in Padres Rookie League at the Jackie Robinson YMCA, providing jerseys and lunch for the kids this holiday season.

Padres volunteers helped bring holiday magic to life in Ronald McDonald’s beloved Holiday Workshop. Yu Darvish and other volunteers helped select and wrap gifts for families staying at Ronald McDonald House this holiday season.

The Padres Foundation coordinated the purchase, wrapping, and delivery of gifts to a classroom of second grade students at the Monarch School. Ruben Niebla, Don Orsillo, Pad Squad, and Friar came along to help spread holiday cheer.

The Padres Foundation partnered with Feeding San Diego, STEP, and Liberty Housing to distribute holiday meals and other treats to 350 junior enlisted military families at Camp Pendleton.
