ARLINGTON, Texas -- Oakland A's left-handed starter Sean Manaea has been named American League Co-Player of the Week with Baltimore's Manny Machado for the week ending on April 22nd. It is his first career Player of the Week award.
Manaea, 26, tossed the 7th no-hitter in Oakland Athletics history on Saturday, April 21 vs. Boston at the Oakland Coliseum. It was the first no-hitter by an A's pitcher since Dallas Braden's Perfect Game on May 9, 2010 vs. Tampa Bay.

The Indiana native is the first A's player to win the weekly award since Yonder Alonso on May 7, 2017, and the first pitcher to win the award since Sonny Gray on Sept. 28, 2014.
Overall this season, he is 3-2 with a 1.23 ERA (5 er, 36.2 ip) with 30 strikeouts in five starts.
