• Also had a streak of three consecutive four-hit games June 13-15, the first Major League player to do so since Rafael Furcal in 2007.

• Became the first player since Lou Gehrig in 1930 to have at least 25 hits and seven home runs in a 10-game span … Blackmon had 26 hits and seven home runs June 10-20 and 25 hits and seven home runs June 11-21.

The Rockies in June:

• Colorado went 15-13 (.536), tied for the fourth-best winning percentage in the NL … the final 17 games of the month were against NL West opponents, against whom they went 9-8 … went 4-3 with two splits across their nine series in the month … completed a three-game sweep of Toronto that began on the final day of May, swept Arizona in three games on the road June 18-20, and were swept in three games at Los Angeles-NL June 21-23.

• Batted .280 (277-for-989), which ranked second in the NL … the hits were tied with Atlanta for first, while their 167 runs ranked second … ranked sixth with a .331 on-base percentage, seventh with a .461 slugging percentage and 10th with 36 home runs.

• The 167 runs scored in June were the most for the Rockies in the month of June since scoring 175 runs in June of 1999.

• David Dahl joined Charlie Blackmon on the NL leaderboards, ranking second in the league with 32 RBI, fifth with 25 runs scored, ninth with a .613 slugging percentage.

• Posted a 5.26 ERA (251.2 IP, 147 ER), which ranked 12th in the NL … their 4.88 starter ERA (153.0 IP, 83 ER) ranked 10th, and their 5.84 bullpen ERA (98.2 IP, 64 ER) ranked 13th … the 153.0 innings of work by Rockies starters ranked fifth.

• Five of the team’s wins in the month were earned by Jon Gray, who went 5-1 with a 2.65 ERA (37.1 IP, 11 ER), 14 walks and 43 strikeouts … he became the eighth player (13th time) to record five or more wins in a single month, the first since Kyle Freeland in Sept. of last season (5-0).

• Scott Oberg was scoreless in 11 of 13 appearances in June (2.45 ERA) while Jake McGee was scoreless in eight of 11 (2.19 ERA).

Scrapbook:

• The Rockies saw two Major League debuts in June … RHP Peter Lambert made his debut in a start at Chicago-NL on June 6 at 22 years, 49 days of age, making him the third-youngest starting pitcher in franchise history … allowed one run on four hits with one walk and nine strikeouts over seven innings in his debut … his nine strikeouts in that game were the most ever by a Rockies pitcher in a Major League debut … LHP Phillip Diehl debuted on June 11, and made two one-inning appearances prior to his June 13 option to Triple-A Albuquerque.

• There were four players placed on the 10-day injured list in June: Mike Dunn on June 6 with left a/c joint inflammation, Seunghwan Oh on June 10 with a left abdominal strain, Trevor Story on June 20 with a right thumb sprain and Brendan Rodgers on June 25 (retroactive to June 24) with a right shoulder impingement.

• Trevor Story was named NL Player of the Week for the week that ended on June 2, the fourth such honor in his career … posted a slash line of .524/.583/1.048 with nine runs scored, 11 hits, three doubles, a triple, two home runs, seven RBI and three walks that week.

• Nolan Arenado had a 15-game hitting streak that ran through June 5 … the streak was the third-longest of his career … batted .458 (27-for-59) with four doubles, five home runs and 19 RBI over the string.

• Colorado ran a 10-game home winning streak from May 26 through June 12, the second-longest single-season home winning streak in franchise history (longest: 11 games, June 30-July 24, 1996) … they out-scored opponents 72-43 over the winning streak, scoring at least four runs and recording at least eight hits in all 10 games.

• The Rockies and Padres combined for 92 total runs (Rockies 48, Padres 44) in their four-game series June 13-16, the most ever in a four-game series in the modern era (since 1900) … the previous record was 88 by the Phillies and the Brooklyn Dodgers in May 1929.

• The Rockies' 48 runs scored in that series were the third-most in a four-game set in franchise history, the most since the 2000 Rockies scored 50 runs vs. San Francisco, June 26-29, 2000 … the 69 hits were tied for the most in franchise history (also: June 27-30, 1996 vs. Los Angeles-NL).

• The Rockies were swept in three games at Dodger Stadium June 21-23, with all three losses coming on walk-off home runs … it was the first time in franchise history that the Rockies had lost in walk-off fashion to the same team in three straight games … had lost three consecutive walk-off games twice before, but to two different teams in each of those instances (May 5-7, 2011 at Arizona and at San Francisco and July 30-Aug. 1, 2003 at Cincinnati and at Pittsburgh) … they were the first team to lose three straight on walk-off home runs since the Los Angeles Angels lost three straight at Texas, July 29-31, 2013.

• Chi Chi González made his Rockies debut on June 25 in San Francisco … it was his first Major League appearance the 2016 season, when he was a member of the Texas Rangers … he became the first pitcher to start for the Rockies who didn’t make his debut with Colorado since Tyler Chatwood last pitched for Colorado in 2017 … he was the first pitcher signed as a free agent to start for Colorado since Kyle Kendrick in 2015.

• With their 5-3 win over the Dodgers on June 29, the Rockies snapped a streak in which they both scored and allowed eight or more runs in five consecutive home games, which was the longest such streak in the modern era … the Boston Beaneaters and the Chicago Colts each had streaks of six such home games in 1894 … each of those five games resulted in 20 or more total runs between each team, the longest such streak since the Cleveland Spiders had a streak of 11 such home games in 1894.

• On June 27, it was announced that Nolan Arenado was elected by the fans as the National League’s starting third baseman for the 2019 All-Star Game … Arenado is now tied with Todd Helton and Larry Walker for the most fan selections (three) and the most total All-Star selections (five) in franchise history … he joins Scott Rolen (2002-05), Mike Schmidt (1979-84) and Matt Williams (1994-96) as the only NL third basemen to be voted as starters in at least three straight seasons.

• During the final game of the month yesterday vs. Los Angeles-NL, it was announced that Charlie Blackmon, David Dahl and Trevor Story would join the NL All-Star team as reserves … it was Blackmon’s fourth career All-Star selection, Story’s second and Dahl’s first … this is the second season that the Rockies have had four All-Stars (also 2017), the first in which all four were position players.
