D-backs recall Tim Locastro from Triple-A Reno; Optioned Caleb Joseph to Reno following Wednesday’s game

The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled OF Tim Locastro from Triple-A Reno. Following Wednesday’s game, the D-backs optioned C Caleb Joseph to Reno.

Locastro, 26, has appeared in 9 games with the D-backs this season, hitting .364 (4-for-11)/.563 OBP/.364 SLG with 2 walks, 3 hit by pitches, 2 stolen bases and 4 runs scored. In 11 games with the Aces, he is batting .395 (17-for-43)/.458 OBP/.907 SLG with 3 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, 12 RBI, 5 walks, 4 stolen bases and 13 runs scored.

Locastro, who hit 3 home runs with 6 RBI on April 25 vs. Fresno, was acquired by the D-backs from the Yankees on January 16 for LHP Ronald Román and cash considerations.

Joseph, 32, has gone 3-for-17 (.176) with 1 double, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored in 9 games with Arizona this season.
