D-backs reinstate Jake Lamb from 10-day injured list; optioned Domingo Leyba to Triple-A Reno following last night's game

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstate INF Jake Lamb (@JakeLamb18) from the 10-day injured list (strained left quadriceps). Following last night’s game, the D-backs optioned INF Domingo Leyba to Triple-A Reno.

Lamb, 28, is hitting .267 (4-for-15) with 1 double, 2 RBI, 3 walks and 1 run scored in 5 games for Arizona this season. He suffered the injury in the ninth inning on April 3 @ Padres.

In 12 rehab games with Reno, Lamb hit .179 (7-for-39) with 2 doubles, 1 home run, 7 RBI and 7 walks. He appeared in 6 games at third base and 5 at first.

Leyba, 23, played in 4 games with the D-backs and was 1-for-4 (.250). He made his Major League debut on June 22 vs. Giants and singled in his first at-bat (off Mark Melancon).
