CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians today announced the following transactions relative to the 2019 Major League roster:

Activated RHP MIKE CLEVINGER from the 60-day Injured List.

Optioned LHP JOSH SMITH to AAA Columbus.

Transferred RHP COREY KLUBER from the 10-day to the 60-day Injured List.

Clevinger is set to make his third start of the 2019 season tonight in Arlington, TX against the Texas Rangers. So far this year he has tossed 12.0 scoreless innings over two starts, leaving his second outing on April 7 with a strain of the Teres major muscle in his upper back. He made a pair of rehab starts in AAA Columbus and AA Akron beginning on June 6 and tossed 5.1 scoreless IP in his last outing on June 11 for the Akron RubberDucks.
