Bergman, 29, went 4-4 with a 5.44 ERA (28 ER, 46.1 IP) with 30 strikeouts and 14 walks in 9 games (8 starts) in his first stint (5/7-6/20) with Seattle earlier this season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-hander has spent the majority of the season with AAA Tacoma, compiling a record of 8-3 with a 4.88 ERA (43 ER, 79.1 IP) in 14 starts. He has held opponents to a .280 (90x321) average, while striking out 60 and walking 16. He won his first 7 decisions with the Rainiers, going 7-0 with a 2.91 ERA (17 ER, 52.2 IP) over 9 starts (4/11-7/9). He signed with Seattle as a minor league free on Dec. 1, 2016 after spending the previous seven seasons in the Colorado organization.
