September 25th, 2019

The Reds Community Fund announced today that the fifteenth annual CBTS Marty Brennaman Golf Classic presented by Delta Air Lines raised more than $231,000 on Sept. 22 & 23 at Belterra Casino Resort.

Hosted by Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman, the event featured over 200 golfers and 51 celebrities who participated in the annual fundraiser.

The surprise featured guest was Reds Hall of Famer Sean Casey with appearances by current Reds players Tucker Barnhart, Curt Casali and Lucas Sims plus former Reds Aaron Harang, Hal Morris, David Weathers, Danny Graves, George Foster, Tom Browning, Ron Oester and many others.

Event highlights included two golf scrambles plus a Sunday night show featuring comedians Josh Sneed and Scott Henry, as well as Hall of Fame radio personality Bob Kevoian.

Since its inception in 2005, the Marty Brennaman Golf Classic has raised over $3 million to support the baseball, softball and education-themed outreach programs of the Reds Community Fund.

Despite the broadcaster’s upcoming retirement following a legendary 46-year career, it was announced that the tournament will continue in the future.

“This may have been the most enjoyable event we’ve had in 15 years,” said Brennaman. “I’m pleased that we will keep it going in the future so that we can raise additional dollars and awareness for the Reds Community Fund.”

The event was sponsored by CBTS, Delta Air Lines, Beacon Orthopaedics, Belterra Casino Resort, FOX Sports Ohio and Prestige AV & Creative Services.
