The New York Mets announced today that the club has signed infielder Ruben Tejada to a Minor League contract. He will report to Extended Spring Training.

Tejada, 29, has played parts of eight years in the Majors, including 2010-2015 with the Mets. He has hit .251 with the Mets, Giants, Cardinals and Orioles during that span. The 5-11, 200-pounder batted .261 in 116 games for the Mets in 2015.
