Philadelphia police and SWAT officers recognized on-field; Plus, ceremonial first pitches by two-time World Cup Champion Carli Lloyd, Philadelphia Eagles alum Jon Dorenbos & Smokey Bear

The Phillies are back at the ballpark to take on the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday, August 26. Here are some of the fan highlights surrounding this three-game series, August 26-28, at Citizens Bank Park:

  1. On Monday, come cheer on the Phillies as they kick off the series with a 7:05 p.m. game. Highlights include the 12th annual Jewish Heritage Celebration.
    • As part of the festivities, Assemblyman Gary Shaer will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and the Temple Beth Sholom Choirs will perform the National Anthem.

    • Fans can also enjoy Miller Lite Monday specials, which include $1 off 24 oz. Miller Lite cans.
  2. Prior to Tuesday’s 7:05 p.m. game, the Phillies will honor the Philadelphia police and SWAT officers involved in the North Philadelphia standoff earlier this month. Plus, two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion Carli Lloyd will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
    • Philadelphia Police officers Joshua Burkitt, Michael Guinter, Shaun Parker, Nathaniel Harper, Ryan Waltman, Justin Matthews, Edward Wright and James Wheeler, along with six SWAT officers, will be recognized for their heroism on-field pregame.
  3. The final game of the series at 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday features a ceremonial first pitch by Smokey Bear in honor of his 75th Birthday Celebration at Citizens Bank Park. Plus, Jon Dorenbos, Philadelphia Eagles alum and magician, will also throw out a first pitch.
    • Traffic advisory: there will be two additional events taking place in the Sports Complex on August 28; there is a U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team public training session from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field and a Shawn Mendes concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. Please be aware that some parking lots may be unavailable or fill quicker than normal. Fans are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate areas to park if your usual lot of choice is full. Gate Openings: The main gates open 1½ hours prior to game time, with the Left Field Gate/Ashburn Alley and a portion of the Third Base Gate granting access to Pass and Stow open 2 hours before the game.

Parking Lot Openings: All parking lots open 5 hours prior to game time.
