The TORONTO BLUE JAYS today announce that Canadian bands The Sheepdogs and James Barker Band will headline an extended two-day Summer Sound Festival presented by Bacardi, on Friday, Aug. 9 and Saturday, Aug. 10, while the Blue Jays take on the New York Yankees. The festivities start outside Gates 10 & 11 at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, running up until first pitch, weather permitting.

Performing on Friday, The Sheepdogs are a four-time JUNO Award-winning, Saskatoon-based quintet that has expanded their sound to encompass more styles including rock ‘n roll and singer-songwriter. The multi-platinum-selling group returns to Canada after a spring 2019 UK & European tour.

Headlining Saturday’s show, the JUNO and CCMA Award-winning James Barker Band have taken the country music scene by storm. With six consecutive gold certified singles, they are the most streamed domestic-signed country artist since 2017. This past spring, JBB released their second album “Singles Only,” which includes their current hit single “There’s a Drink for That”.

Blue Jays fans can look forward to two-days of Canadian music, as well as a host of activations, games, prizes, and entertainment to keep the party going, including a Bacardi cabana hangout and DJ DLUX spinning. Tickets are available now at bluejays.com/promotions.
