Braves' NL Championship Series roster substitution approved

Camargo replaces Duvall in NLCS vs. Dodgers

October 13th, 2020

Major League Baseball announced today that it has approved a roster substitution for the Atlanta Braves due to an injury sustained by outfielder Adam Duvall. As a result, Duvall will be replaced by infielder Johan Camargo on Atlanta’s League Championship Series roster vs. the Dodgers. Dr. Gary Green, MLB’s Medical Director, confirmed the injury after communicating with the evaluating physician, as well as reviewing Duvall’s medical history.

MLB Postseason rules provide that a Club may request permission from the Commissioner’s Office to replace a player who is unable to play because of an injury. The Commissioner’s Office may approve or disapprove the request based on the specific facts and circumstances. In accordance with the rules, Duvall will be ineligible to return in the World Series if Atlanta qualifies.

ESPN Radio will provide live national coverage of all 2020 MLB Postseason games. MLB Network will provide comprehensive coverage throughout the Postseason. All games telecast on FOX, FS1 and TBS will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider. The 2020 Postseason schedule, subject to change, can be viewed in its entirety at MLB.com/postseason.
