Cerveceros Night, Presented by Aurora Health Care, Scheduled for Saturday at Miller Park

July 11th, 2019

MILWAUKEE – The Brewers will host their 14th annual Cerveceros Night, presented by Aurora Health Care®, at Miller Park this Saturday, July 13, honoring the heritage and importance of Latin American culture in Major League Baseball with scoreboard features and pregame festivities.

Before the Brewers square off with the San Francisco Giants at 6:15 p.m. CT, children from two local baseball teams will tour Miller Park and receive a ticket voucher valid for Hispanic Heritage Night on Monday, September 16. The festivities begin at 4:30 p.m., when the Dance Academy of Mexico and the Culture Institute of Dance will perform and a DJ will play music on the Third-Base Plaza by the Hot Corner until 6 p.m.

Prior to the game, Milwaukee native Junior Rivera will perform the national anthem and the American GI Forum will perform a special color guard ceremony featuring the flags of Latin American countries represented by MLB players throughout history. Luis Clemente, son of Roberto Clemente and President of the Roberto Clemente Foundation, and Maria Watts, Board Chair of UMOS, will each throw ceremonial first pitches.

All fans in attendance will enjoy scoreboard features, community organizations at sections 206 and 406 and the Brewers and Giants wearing their Cerveceros and Gigantes jerseys, respectively. Those who purchase a special Cerveceros Night ticket package will take home a Cerveceros Sugar Skull bobblehead.

In addition to the festivities on Cerveceros Night, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and the Roberto Clemente Foundation, in partnership with the Brewers, will host baseball clinics on Friday, July 12 and on Saturday, July 13 at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee. The clinics, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, will feature games, prizes and appearances by Brewers mascots and MLB alumni. These clinics are free of charge to all children who attend.
