Locutores Lager to Compete with Muscle & Flow IPA for “Brewmaster” Title

July 15th, 2019

MILWAUKEE – For the third season in a row, the Brewers are partnering with Miller Brewing to create limited-edition beers that will be served at Miller Park on one night only this summer.

Last year, FOX Sports Wisconsin broadcasters Bill Schroeder and Matt Lepay competed with Brewers relievers Josh Hader and Taylor Williams, with the players’ High Heat Pilsner narrowly edging out the broadcasters’ Mic Drop Lager for the “Brewmaster” title.

This season, Schroeder partnered with another member of the FOX Sports Wisconsin broadcast team – Craig Coshun – to create a Mexican-style Locutores Lager. They will compete with the Muscle & Flow IPA created by Ben Gamel and Eric Thames to determine who takes home the 2019 “Brewmaster” crown.

Fans 21+ will get their opportunity to weigh in on the competition at Miller Park on Monday, July 22, when the Brewers take on the Cincinnati Reds. 12 ounce pours will be available for $6, with the players and broadcasters kicking off the competition by tapping their respective brews behind sections 110 and 125 on the Field-Level concourse shortly after the gates open at 5:40 p.m.

Fans 21+ in attendance on July 22 will have the opportunity to have their voice heard, with both brews flowing until either the end of the seventh inning or they completely sell out. Sales will be tallied immediately following the seventh inning to determine whether the players’ Muscle & Flow IPA or the broadcasters’ Locutores Lager takes home the “Brewmaster” title this season.
