The Pittsburgh Pirates have suspended right-handed pitcher Keone Kela for two games due to violation of his Uniform Player’s Contract. The announcement was made by Executive Vice President, General Manager Neal Huntington.
Kela, who was recalled from his rehab assignment and reinstated from the 60-day injured list today, has been placed on the suspended list. He will begin serving the two-game suspension tonight.
